What we’re discussing—

  • Scrapping IPOs and Chobani’s expanding platform

  • Acquisitions strengthening core products & entering coveted categories

  • Can Chobani conquer every inch of your fridge?

Saying No to IPOs

Chobani’s mostly dairy-based empire continues to expand, their mission to take more space inside your fridge is armed heavily with product innovation, from high protein to dairy-free probiotics, they’ve been able to strategically increase the ocassion for Chobani in homes not just in the US but internationally as well. The company is turning 20 in the next two years, and it’s positioning itself as a legacy company that may span as long as a century.

Back in 2021, Chobani had announced its plans to become a publicly traded company, the same year that Oatly did its IPO, eventually Chobani scrapped its plans to go public, and its the best decision they could have ever made. Today, OTLY 0.00%↑ is down 98% since IPO, Oatly's current market cap is around $291.60 million, a huge decrease from their valuation of $10B at the time they went public, in contrast, Chobani is now nearing almost $4B in sales a year and is investing almost $2B in manufacturing facilities in New York ($1.2B) and Idaho ($500M).
