Bitter is a taste that’s long been symbolic of “class” … so the fancier people get the darker the chocolate, less milky the coffee, etc. these milky versions are a way to signal sophistication but not have to tolerate the straight up version :)

Yeah like I mentioned above I don’t think GenZ is ordering foamy lattes as much as they are ordering cold matcha drinks
